The brand was named after the main store at 9 Bond Street in the NoHo neighbourhood of Manhattan. For the first time in the history of perfume, a large, fully-fledged collection of fragrances had been launched as a tribute to a large city. All of the fragrances are dedicated to the theme of the City of New York. A number of perfumes were named after New York districts, for example. The Bond No. 9 collection of women’s, men’s and unisex fragrances has a dual mission: to create a new kind of perfume and to distinguish each New York district with its own fragrance.
